Answer to #1, 2, 4--They just don't know any better. They believe all the lies they've been told by the abuser--it's their fault, they're worthless, etc. They've been brainwashed and need deprogrammed, like from being in a cult. Yes I would I actualy did break up with one bf once and I honestly feel he did betray me with a good friend of mine on some level at least once.
